BA (Hons) MSc, Finds and Environmental Assistant/Osteologist
Rhiannon joined Archaeology Wales in 2016 and is based in the Caerphilly office. She has an MSc in Human osteology and funerary archaeology from Leiden University in The Netherlands. She has worked on Dutch and British collections and particularly specialises in palaeopathology. Since working for Archaeology Wales, Rhiannon has excavated, and completed post-excavation analysis on burials ranging in completeness and preservation, from the Iron Age to the 19th century.
Before becoming and osteoarchaeologist, Rhiannon worked as a site assistant for several years. Working on a variety of different, complex sites, she has a good understanding of archaeological practices.
